Apollo vs. the Crabs

On our last  night of the trip, we decide to take one last walk on the beach. It turned into a adventure itself.

 I meet some girls

 Look what I found
 a jelly fish
and a crab......
Look I found another one..

Well it is time to head home tomorrow. It has been a great trip and adventure, the best in my 13 years.  Hopefully I will get back to the beach soon.  Looking forward to getting back to my own bed tomorrow and continue my duties of guarding the house.

Lighthouses, Pirates and Boats

Today we visited three lighthouses on the Outer Banks on three different islands. I took a ferry ride and learn about Blackbeard. I took bunches of pictures of lighthouses for my Granny.

First lighthouse-Cape Hatteras

Here is where it used to be about 12 years ago. They had to move it 2500 feet because it was falling in the ocean. It is the tallest lighthouse.

This picture of the lighthouse is taken from where it used to be. Did you know they moved it on rollers.

Here I am waiting to see if they brought me something to eat. They went to the Froggy Dog.

Here is a grave of two English soldiers who ship was sunk by a German U boat.

Here I am in mom's hat.

Next time for ferry ride to Oracoke.

Here we go....

On deck

Waiting for the ride to be over.

Look we found a fan of Smokey

Once we got to Oracoke, I heard they have a breed of ponies that are only found here. They think either the British or Spanish brought them to the island.

Off to the next site, there is also a British cemetery on this island.

Here is the Oracoke lighthouse. It is the second oldest working lighthouse in the United states.

Next we headed to Teach's Hole. Did you know this is where Blackbeard was killed and his body minus his head was dumped.

Last stop of the day the Bodie Light

I stayed in the rv after I saw this sign.

The beach

Hey everybody I made it to the beach yesterday afternoon. Once we got to the campsite, we just had to walk up the tall dunes to the beach and the Atlantic Ocean.

I was excited and carefully sniffed the sand on my way down.

As you can see I enjoy the water , but the waves not so much. They scare me.

But I am happy and smiling.

Sunset on the beach.

I found a sand castle.

Mom and Dad

Today I spent the whole day with mom at the beach. Still don't like the waves but enjoy the breeze and the people watching. I can't understand why the people next to us won't share their sandwiches with me. And there were little girls who kept feeding these big white birds, like ten of them would swarm.
It was a good day just to hang out. The tide came in and got me wet under mom's chair. Up the dunes we went. It is almost a full moon tonight, we walked through the campground and I checked on everyone hoping the would share their meals wi me.

Oh, they have corn hole at this campsite as well. For my Brookcliff folks.
