Driving North

We headed north out of Charlottesville with a few stops in between. First stop was Waffle House our first time on the road trip. We were a about a hour into the trip and mom decide to head east to go to Shenandoah National Park. Some of you might be aware mom has a US National Park passport book and it is all about the stamp. So we head east for a hour and the a hour up the parkway. Turns out mom learned she could of gotten a her stamp near Charlottesville but it was a beautiful drive , and we went really high.

Next we headed to the battlefield of Cedar Creek, the park office was closed. So no stamp for mom but we saw the battlefield and old house.

Next stop West Virginia and Harpers Ferry. This was the site of John Brown revolt. It is a nice preserved city and excellent views of the Potomac and Shenandoah rivers meeting.

The armory John Brown took over.

Aot of ice cream and t shirts
