Wright Brothers and Virginia Dare

Today we headed to the Outer Banks in North Carolina. We stop at two great sites. Mom had been to these sites 40 years ago. She is recreating sone of her important sign finger pointing moments.

First Kill Devil Hill where the Wright Brothers took there first flight. It was real hazy today due to a forest fire, made it hard to breath sometimes.























Here are some new friends I made.








Next the Lost Colony- this is the first British colony. When their leader left for new supplies and came back three years later , everyone had vanished. This a place called Fort Raleigh and they have a play called the Lost Colony. Andy Griffith starred in it when he was young, but I didn't see Opie.
















This is across from our campground in Hatteras. Tons of kite sailers.
